Before starting at United Career Institute (UCI), Jennifer worked at a personal care home. She enjoyed working with the patients but wanted to grow within the medical field and further her education.  Jennifer realized that she wanted to be able to do more for her patients. She felt that United Career Institute was the best place for her to advance up the “medical ladder” and become the best that she could be for her future patients. Jennifer chose UCI because of the small class sizes and the one-on-one instruction. “Everyone was so willing to help if I ever needed it.”

Jennifer decided that the Medical Assisting program was where she wanted to start her education in the medical field. She has learned so much and enjoyed the hands-on education she has received at United Career Institute, so it only made sense to her to continue her journey here at UCI. “I chose Medical Assisting as a stepping stone for me to continue my education into the Practical Nursing program here at United”, Jennifer stated.

A positive environment is so important when you are furthering your education, and that is something that Jennifer has found at United Career Institute. She says her favorite part of attending UCI has been “the staff always being there to support you.”  When asked who her favorite teacher was, Jennifer couldn’t pick just one. She said, “They all pushed me to do what they knew I was capable of. They really lift up your spirits, and make you feel like you can conquer the world.”

Jennifer plans to take advantage of United’s Pathway program, where you can graduate with an associate degree in Medical Assisting and get your Practical Nursing diploma all in two and half years. There are many benefits to our pathway program including a grant* opportunity.

Jennifer feels that the superior education she receives at UCI will help her to fulfill her future plans. When asked what she wants to do after she completes her education, she said, “My ideal job after graduation is a job where I can be hands-on with patients and provide them with the best possible care. In five years, I would like to be working as a maternity ward nurse.” Jennifer wants to dedicate her career to assisting in delivering babies and taking care of them after they are born.

When asked if she would refer a friend to United Career Institute-Fayette, Jennifer said, “I would refer a friend to United. I feel that it is a well-educated school with amazing staff.”
