At United Career Institute, we have a dedicated admissions team that is committed to your success as a student and in your career. From the moment you first contact us, our admissions team members are there to guide you through the process of enrolling in school.

We help you create a plan for your future, provide you with continuous support, and help you prepare for success in school and in your career.

Read on to learn all about the admissions experience at UCI!

Plan Your Future

After you first reach out to us, your personal admissions team member will set up a time to chat with you about your future. This meeting could be completed virtually over the phone or in person at our Irwin campus, depending on your location and preferences.

During this meeting, your admissions team member will ask you some questions to learn more about your unique situation and what you are looking for in a school. You may talk about previous schools attended, prior work experience, your interests, and anything else that’s important to your success. You will also have the opportunity to ask any questions you have about United Career Institute, our programs, your classes, or anything else. Once your admissions team member has a good idea of what you’re looking for, you will work together to create a plan for your future.

Your custom career plan will include things you need to do to reach your career goals, such as completing the necessary degree program, learning essential skills, gaining valuable experience, and preparing for professional certifications*. Once you have this plan designed, you will be able to start the path toward your dream career.

Provide Continuous Support

Even after you’ve worked with your admissions team member to create your career plan, they will continue to provide you with continuous support. Next, you will need to schedule an appointment with a financial aid representative to complete your enrollment. Your admissions team member will help you set up and prepare for your financial aid appointment.

Once you’ve completed your financial aid appointment, it’s time to enroll in your classes. Your admissions team member will be there to guide you throughout the process. Anytime you have questions or concerns, you can reach out to your admissions team member for phone, text, or in-person support. They are always there to help you with anything you may need.

For students who need additional support, your admissions team member can help point you in the right direction to get the help you need. For example, suppose you need help with childcare to attend your classes. In that case, your admissions person can give you resources for organizations that can help and get you any verifications you need to qualify. Other support options that your admissions team member can refer you for are mental health services, transportation options, help with application fees, and help to purchase a laptop or computer.

Prepare for Success

After you complete the enrollment process, you’re ready to start school! Even as you begin your first classes, your admissions team member will stay with you throughout this time. During your first six weeks of school, your admissions team member will continue to check in on you weekly to ensure everything is going well with your classes and to see if there’s anything you need help with.

If you are a UCI Online student, your admissions team member can answer questions about the online student portal if you need help. Your personal admissions team member has an open-door policy and takes pride in being your own personal champion.
