Meet UCI Campus President, Samantha Esposito!
As a student at United Career Institute, you will work closely with the admissions team, academic team, instructors, career management department, and more! In this blog, you will have the chance to get to know the leader of the United Career Institute team– our campus president, Samantha Esposito!
A Career Of Helping Others
Samantha has served as United Career Institute’s president since spring 2022. In her eight years employed with the organization, she has held various positions for WVJC, including Career Management Representative, Director of Career Management, and finally Campus President.
Samatha is closely familiar with all areas of the student experience, including admissions, financial aid*, academics, and student services. She says her favorite part of her position as Campus President is working with a wide variety of people, “I really enjoy talking to people and learning about them and their backgrounds.”
Guiding students throughout their educational journey is one of the most fulfilling parts of working at United Career Institute. Samantha says her favorite days of the year are graduation and nursing pinning ceremonies. “At those ceremonies, we are able to witness the culmination of hard work and dedication of all of our students,” she says.
The UCI team strives to help every student achieve their goal of a new healthcare career. When asked what she would say to a potential student considering United Career Institute, Samantha says, “If they are looking for an organization that truly cares and wants them to succeed, we are the right organization for them.”
Achieving A Work-Life Balance
It is essential to get some well-deserved R&R. Samantha says she is not picky about where she goes on vacation as long as it is warm! If she could go anywhere in the world, she would choose Italy, because she is Italian and it’s her favorite type of food.
In her downtime, Samantha enjoys reading and taking care of her plants. She says her favorite book is Flowers in the Attic by Virginia Andrews because it was the first book she felt very interested in when she read it in a high school class. She also cares for her dog, an 11-year-old pomeranian.
If Samantha could have dinner with one famous person, she says she would choose Walt Disney. His creative mind led to being a pioneer of his time, and she would love to discuss how that innovation came to be.
Big Plans Ahead
In the coming year, Samantha hopes to expand United Career Institute’s program offerings to include online/hybrid practical nursing. This would allow online students to complete practical nursing courses virtually and attend labs and clinical rotations at the UCI campus in Irwin, PA, or regional healthcare facilities. Developing this exciting new opportunity would provide students in Southwestern Pennsylvania with nursing education from the comfort of their homes.
