Clinical Medical Assistant student, Chelsea Patton, began attending United Career Institute in August 2020. The choice to join the program was an easy one for her. She says, “I always wanted to go into the medical field, this is a good start for me. It will get me ready to join the field.” Chelsea is nearing graduation in March and we are all eager to see her enter the Medical Assisting field.

Previously, Chelsea had a full-time job as a stay-at-home mom. Now, she manages to juggle raising two young children while obtaining an Associate Degree in Specialized Business-Medical Assisting. With the support of her instructors and the other staff at United Career Institute, she remains determined in her studies. She is currently Student of the Month for her outstanding determination, attendance, and academic performance.

The Clinical Medical Assisting program provides clinical experience and hands-on skills training. Chelsea said this was her favorite part of the program. She feels it prepared her to achieve her goal of working as a medical assistant at a hospital or practice.

In addition to gaining clinical experience and medical knowledge, Chelsea has made many memories and life-long friends throughout the program. United Career Institute strives to offer an environment for students to learn and grow together. Chelsea said, “I would recommend United to my friends. This program is great for medical training and learning. It will better your life.”
