UCI Career Management Services
The Career Management department at United Career Institute provides all students and alumni with career services starting as soon as they walk in the door. These services include resume building, career preparation, interview skills training, job search assistance, and more. Kaitlyn Hawthorne, the Career Management Director for United Career Institute, is always available to assist current, past, and prospective students explore career options.
Many prospective students worry about how they will work while coming to school full-time. United Career Institute understands the balance that all students have between work life, personal life, home life, and school work. Faculty, student services, and staff assist students in managing their time while providing their education. Career Management offers assistance to students seeking part-time employment that works around their class schedule.
Another role of the UCI Career Management department is to network with local employers. UCI has established relationships with many medical organizations in the Pittsburgh and Westmoreland County area. Many of these organizations speak with students about their company, facilities, job opportunities, and benefits. Our upcoming practical nursing graduates have gotten to know more about companies like Allegheny Health Network, Harmony Home Care, and Encompass Health Harmarville.
Students will meet their career management director at the beginning phases of their program. They will continue to develop that relationship with their career management director throughout their program so that the student has a career plan by the time graduation comes.
