Why UCI is Different from Other Schools e1661804238674

At United Career Institute, we strive to create a learning environment that works for each and every one of our students. We know that different people learn differently, so we designed our programs to work for a variety of students in a variety of situations.

Read on to find out what makes attending UCI different from other schools!

Supportive Environment

At United Career Institute, we offer a WE CARE educational environment from the moment you first reach out to us. Whether you are attending classes in person at our Irwin campus or online, we will guide you every step of the way. You will begin with a dedicated admissions team member who will help you create a career plan that is customized just for you. Your admissions team member will help you through the enrollment process and answer any questions you have.

Once enrolled at UCI, our dedicated faculty and staff will help you gain the knowledge, skills, and experience you need to succeed in your career. We offer smaller class sizes so that students get more attention from their instructors and have the opportunity to receive additional help when needed.

As you complete your classes, our career services team will help prepare you to excel in the workforce. With services like resume help, interview practice, and career advising, We are dedicated to helping you succeed.

Accelerated Programs

One of the main things that make attending school at United Career Institute unique is that we offer accelerated programs that can be completed in less than two years. Unlike traditional schools where you have to attend for four to six years to earn your degree, students at UCI earn degrees and prepare for new careers quickly.

Spending less time in school allows you to get a head start in your career. This means you get to start earning a salary and gaining valuable experience quicker.

We offer exciting programs in areas including Medical Assisting, Medical Billing/Administration, and Practical Nursing. These accelerated programs are designed to train you in the exact skills you will need for your chosen career field.

Hands-On Training

United Career Institute is different from many other schools because we offer an abundance of hands-on training in our degree programs. We know the more you practice your skills, the better you can perform them in a real work environment. Students at UCI have the opportunity to practice critical healthcare skills in classrooms and labs as they earn their degrees.

For medical assisting students completing their classes in an online format, they will attend hands-on clinical days to practice these valuable skills. Additionally, both on-campus and online students complete an externship in a healthcare facility that allows them to gain real-world experience.

Certification and Licensing

Another thing that makes attending United Career Institute unique is that we prepare you to sit for professional healthcare certifications and licensing exams. As students complete their healthcare classes, they are trained in the knowledge and skills needed to earn these valuable credentials.

In our Medical Assistant program, students prepare to sit for valuable certifications, including National Certified Clinical Medical Assistant*, Certified EKG Technician**, and Certified Phlebotomy Technician**. Students enrolled in the Medical Billing/Administration program receive training for the Certified Medical Administrative Assistant*, Certified Billing and Coding Specialist**, and Certified Electronic Health Records Specialist** certifications. For those who complete our Practical Nursing program, you will be prepared to sit for the NCLEX-PN° licensing exam.
