UCI Blog Jen Hamilton

Jen Hamilton is the lead Allied Health instructor at United Career Institute. She teaches most of the classes for the Clinical Medical Assistant program. She has been in the medical field for quite some time and has experienced a range of specialties. After obtaining her Associate of Science with a focus on Health Studies, Jen went on to work in hospice, home health, primary care, family practice, rheumatology, gastroenterology, plastic surgery, gynecology, infectious disease, urology, and neurology. Her extensive work experience allows her to teach students in a way that truly prepares them to enter the field. She has a wealth of knowledge about what it’s like to be a medical assistant in various settings, which is helpful for students trying to decide where they want to work.

Jen has been teaching in the allied health field for years and loves the connections she makes with students. Like all United Career Institute staff, Jen strives for student growth and success. She emphasizes accountability and professionalism in all her courses and goes above and beyond to get all her students involved.

When asked what advice Jen has for her students, she said, “You can rely on me to help you as much as I am able. Never get in your own way of being successful by doubting yourself. You are important and appreciated. I am proud to get to know you and be a part of your journey, even if it’s just for a little while.”

A fun fact about Jen is that she grew up in the desert. She loves the weather up here because she gets to experience all four seasons. “By the time one season is done, another is already on its way. There is so much more greenery here! The desert is just hot, dry, and sunny all year long.”
