2023 Graduation Ceremony
On April 28th, 2023, United Career Institute (UCI) hosted its annual graduation ceremony for Practical Nursing, Medical Assisting, and Phlebotomy graduates. This exciting event allowed our students’ family and friends to honor their achievements and dedication to their education. Michael Simon of Allegheny Health Network’s speech moved the crowd of graduates.
2023 Practical Nursing Pinning Ceremony
On October 20th, 2023, United Career Institute (UCI) celebrated our 2022-23 Practical Nursing class. Graduates were joined on stage by their loved ones, who presented them with their pins, showing they had completed the practical nursing training program.
Exciting Clinical Opportunities
This year, United Career Institute (UCI) practical nursing students had the opportunity to complete the first-ever clinical rotation cohort at Maxim Healthcare in Pittsburgh, PA! These students will put their nursing skills into practice through home healthcare in pediatric, adult, and private nursing care.

Our programs

Residential Programs – Practical Nursing and Phlebotomy training programs are offered residentially at our campus in Irwin, Pennsylvania. These courses include in-person instruction, and hands-on lab and clinical experiences taught by skilled instructors.
Online – Among our associate degree programs offered online are Clinical Medical Assistant, Medical Coding, and Medical Office Administration. In the medical coding and medical office administration training programs, students will complete classes online and then apply their skills to customized virtual simulations. Meanwhile, clinical medical assistant students will complete courses virtually and attend weekend clinicals at the UCI campus to practice their hands-on skills.
Career in a year – Our Medical Assisting and Medical Billing/Administration diploma options could be an excellent fit for students seeking an even more accelerated approach to education. The medical billing administration training program is offered entirely virtually. The medical assisting diploma option allows a combination of online courses and hands-on clinical days.
