Haley DiMartino is a student in the Medical Assisting program at United Career Institute. She is such a bright addition to the student body. Her kindness, determination, and positive attitude are greatly appreciated by her fellow students and all the staff here at UCI. In addition to her sparkling personality, Haley has also been on President’s List multiple times—meaning she holds a 4.0 GPA.

Before enrolling in the Medical Assisting program, Haley worked full-time at a memory care unit in a nursing home. She knew she wanted to be in the medical field and hoped to someday pursue a career in nursing. She said she had heard good things about United Career Institute and wanted to get a leg up in the medical field without diving into nursing school just yet. Haley “took the MA program as a stepping stone to go into nursing.” She is one of many medical assisting students at UCI to start in the Medical Assisting program to build a strong foundation in the medical field and prepare herself for nursing school.

Haley plans to continue her education by getting her Bachelor of Science in Nursing. She plans to pursue a nursing career in the Oncology specialty. She hopes to someday work with children and adults as an Oncology Nurse in a hospital setting. The staff at United Career Institute have no doubts that she will ultimately achieve all her goals.

Haley’s favorite part about her time so far at United Career Institute is getting to see all her classmates and “working together to learn new things.” She also appreciates the support from her favorite instructor, Kelly Clark. She said, “in all my years in school, I never met a teacher like Kelly. She gives her students a great education and goes above and beyond to help you in any way she can.” One of the core values of United Career Institute is relationships. We build meaningful and trusted relationships as the foundation of our culture. This is exemplified in the strong relationships and rapport built amongst our students and staff.
